St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ardmore hosting 'Bring a guest to church and Sunday School' service

It's a popular idea. In fact, in this Thursday's email message to the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation in Ardmore, The Evangelism Committee cites Lifeway research that shows “82% of the unchurched are likely to attend church if invited…," however, "only 2% of church members invite.”

This Sunday, Jan. 27, St. Paul's is inviting the congregation to invite friends and family to its Sunday services.

"We ask that you think of at least three people to invite to church with you on Sunday January 27th and then take it to God in prayer." The committee writes. "Think about family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers."

St. Paul's has even created a template to make it easier for members to invite friends and family:

The church I attend, St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ardmore is having a special emphasis on Jan 27 called “Bring a guest to church (and Sunday school) Sunday” and have asked attendees like me to invite at least 3 people to come to church with me. I would like to extend and invitation to you and your family to attend the worship service with me on the 27. We have two worship services on Sunday morning at 9 and 10:30 a.m. I plan on attending the _____ service on the 27. During the 9 a.m. service children age 3 through 5th grade are invited to attend Sunday school. St. Paul’s also provides childcare in the nursery for the younger children during both services. I love St. Paul’s ______________. I hope you will able to attend with me.

How do you invite "unchurched" to your services? Tell us in the comments section below
